Assess Containerization for 14 Services—Architecture, Performance, Security, and Load Balancing
by Rakesh kumar · updated 10/28/2026
Prompt
Do not implement anything or change any files, configurations, or running services. My holiday-new project currently runs 14 services without Docker containers. Review the existing setup and assess whether containerizing these services would reduce disk space or memory usage, improve performance and page loading times, reduce network traffic, strengthen security, and simplify load balancing and scaling. Compare the current deployment with Docker Compose and explain whether Kubernetes is necessary for my actual requirements. Clearly distinguish benefits containers can provide from improvements that require application, database, caching, or infrastructure changes. Recommend a suitable architecture based on the server’s resources, service dependencies, traffic, and maintenance needs. Include the trade-offs, resource overhead, security controls, monitoring, backups, and a phased migration and rollback plan. If information is missing, identify it rather than assuming containerization will automatically improve performance or reduce costs. Present your findings and proposed plan, then wait for my approval before implementation.
